2018
Sherpa-Map launched its “Show Gravel” feature—cycling to the source of innovation with intuitive overlays that revealed gravel and unpaved roads using OpenStreetMap data.
2021
Introduced AI surface classification—leveraging satellite imagery to “define unknown” roads and classify them in real time, filling gaps in OSM with smart inference.
2023
Earned recognition from publications like Bike Rumor for offering free gravel overlays and weather visualization tools—all built on passion and ingenuity.
2025
Today, Sherpa-Map has evolved into MapiBot.com, offering a polished suite of API-focused, premium map layers—from gravel-surface and weather overlays to AI elevation insights—served via a high-flexible, developer-centric platform.
